15 Shades of Gray
30 x 30 x 4 cm
Black and white are probably the most common colors in Acrylic Pour paintings; often as a base coat, or to seperate colors. Though you find them together in many pieces, they are very rarely placed next to each other as they can easily mix giving you a solid gray painting. After working to find a consistency to prevent this from happening (see "Marble (Black and White)" under the "Tiny" pieces) a friend requested a gray painting. Now I had to find a way to keep the tints seperate while still allowing for some mixing. I did some experimenting on two canvases and this piece, along with "The Sea of Tranquility", are the result. This is painting 1 of 2 in the "Gray Series". Although it can be purchased on it's own, I offer a discount if you would like both pieces.
